Whenever you get a new subscriber, purchase, or any kind of opt-in it makes for a pretty good feeling. But there is more to be done to maximize this opportunity. This can be done simply by implementing a single thank you page.

A single page is not something you’d usually think of in terms of making a huge difference to your sales funnel. However, when it comes to the thank you page they can have a huge impact on your funnel.

Did you know there are a lot more possibilities with thank you pages than just saying thank you?

Let me help you think outside of the box for a second. 

Say More Than “Thank You”

There are tons of different things you can do with your thank you page such as lead into another funnel, deliver the lead magnet right then, have an immediate up sell, just to name a few.

Don’t get me wrong, it needs to say thank you or at least show some sort of gratitude to help humanize the whole experience. 

Lead Them Into Another Funnel

Right after people fill out your optin form to receive their free gift they are a very trusting state. Use this to your advantage and have them fill out one more short form to get access to another free gift or online course that goes hand in hand with the lead magnet they just opted in for.

A personal piece of advice would be to make these gifts overlap in value. Make one go with the other. 

Upsell

A person is never as engaged with your business as they are when they either fill out an optin form or make a purchase. Use this engagement to your advantage an offer an immediate up-sell. A pretty cool piece of advice that I was given was to make that up-sell pay for the traffic costs so that anything made with the back-end funnel was 100% profit.

Deliver the lead magnet immediately

We’ve all at least once opted in for someones lead magnet and then have to go to our emails to either confirm it or just some sort of extra step must be taken before we actually get the free something. This can sometimes be tedious to your visitors so you can make it easy by having your “thank you” page simply be a page with a bunch of download links for your lead magnet. You’ll also be able to include up sells and smaller optin boxes on this page as well to maximize profits.

Make a connection

This is really good for niched down businesses. You can simply have a video or text giving and introduction to your new prospect. Say who you are, what you stand for, and somethings relating to your lead magnet. But what the key here is to make sure you’re showing gratitude and excitement that the prospect has chosen you to be their guide in the niche.

Give instructions

Okay this one is pretty cool and gets overlooked quite often. To help with deliverability you need people to add your email as a contact. You can give instructions on how to do that here. Also if you’re having trouble with your emails not reaching the main inbox then you can give instructions such as

“please allow 3-5 minutes for the email with your download ink to finish sending. If you do not see it in your main inbox then you need to check your “promotions” and “spam” inbox. Thank you for your patience!”
